Maybe you wonder what we do all day. Bryce stands by signs and heckles. I film.

Zoo

Hey I know my kids wild, but how come you dressed like you're on safari at a zoo in Tacoma?

The best toddler wranglers.

Nothing like checking out an armadillo belly. At last stillness.

Oh Daddio

You showed up just in time and did the most hated 5 am to 7 am parenting. Then you hooked up the bike and somehow found all the gear to on a bike ride with the most excited two year old. Then you got a flat. But Revolution bike shop came to your rescue and you were off to go (Bryce says: off to go). Yay for Dads.

Hi eye

Have I mentioned everything talks to each other? Hi eye. Hi eye.

The eyes came from a jelly fish Bryce made at Thrive by Five. I'll go to anything to avoid playing cars talk to each other. (hi there delivery van, hi there garbage truck). The teacher gives Bryce half a paper plate to make a jelly fish. Bryce puts one light line on it. The teacher says, don't you want to color your jelly fish. Bryce says, I did. The eyes just fell off. Bryce says, the jelly fish is sleeping. Me, I say, hi eye. Bryce says, hi eye. I'd rather poke myself in the eye.

Compton

Nothing like me, Bryce, a baby, 8 homeless people, a 40 oz beer and a spray park. Miller Park, Yakima. If I was homeless, I'd be drinking a 40 hanging at the spray park. Especially when YPD drives by without a glance.

That's because they are too busy at Target. My picture isn't great but the SWAT team was at Target last night. Just another 24 hours in Yakima. Living the dream.

Proud

Proud parent moment #1
Bryce- I peed outside and made a twister

Un-proud moment #1
Mom- Stop throwing sh*t at your brother, you have the rest of your life for that

I thought cars talking to each other was bad enough.

Long days start at 5 am.

Between the sweet moments when the baby is cooing and Bryce is cracking me up, there is a lot of boring bodily fluids. Bryce would rather pee on the floor than in the toilet even while sitting on the toilet. Quin eats all the time. Being at the pass with two isn't what it used to be and there is constantly business that needs to be done in Yakima. Bryce loves being outside, but has decided he does not want to walk very far. That leaves us staying in stroller distance of the house. And translates to walking the John Wayne trail to a large puddle to through rocks until I am so bored I can't stand it. And when we leave it ends in disaster. Our last visit to the library ended with me dragging Bryce out kicking and screaming only to get to the car and not have my keys. We anxiously await Damon's return so we are free to hike because there is a second backpack or a second set of hands. Quin's ready to eat.

Happy birthday Baby Ethel

KC and Laurel brought baby Ethel into our lives 1 year ago. We are so lucky to have such a mellow, forgiving niece and cousin in our lives. Of course no picture of all the festivities. Bryce reports the birthday cake was his favorite part. You wouldn't have known it by how excited he was during the happy birthday part. And I learned how hard it is to do anything with two kids. Fortunately for me I had mom and dad plus aunt sandy's help. I don't know how single parents do it.
