Halloween train toppenish

At Christmas time last year we went Toppenish train museum for Santa train. You may remember my post about the North Pole looking like a junk yard. But Bryce loved it. The had a whole room full of Thomas and a bunch of electric trains. Bryce has been begging to go back. So we went to do the Halloween train. Ummm no room full of Thomas or toy trains. You do get to ride the train about a block. This blew Quin's mind. Ooh ooh. He is easy to please. He loves the vacuum. Then you pull up to junk yard. There are two boxes of pumpkins. A plastic ring toss and a beanbag toss. Plus fake store fronts. (You can take your picture in the fake jail- the lady informed). Well good thing you can go in the jail because it is really hard to hold on to an 18 month old with a train driving around. The kid runs towards loud noises. He is fortunate he lives now because if it was survival of the fittest, Quin's not. It is also fortunate that shoved in the jail are all Quin's favorites. Chemicals, brooms, ladders, pieces of rebar. Ooh ooh. They happily took No balance Damon and my 4 year old on a pumper car. Blew Bryce's mind. Ooh ooh. F for safety. My opinion: F, so lame. Bryce and Quin say best day ever.

Don't even get me started

Two piles of dog poop. One in the am, one in the pm. A four year who pooped in his pants. Then pooped on the toilet and came out covered in poop. An 18 month old who acts like a baby hippo when you change his diapers and when you set him on the ground, pulls off his diapers and runs. All you single parents out there, let me buy you a drink.

Someone please

Save me. The dog pooped on the floor. I have a four year who is rubbing against me saying "do I stink" (the answer is yes). And the cat literally threw up on the couch above our heads. Someone better get me a drink. Quick.

I am not playing.

Bryce this is what I do when you are not home. ("Mom what are you going to do? Play?") Sorry Bryce, contrary to what you think, I am not playing talking cars when you aren't here.

These too are pretty sweet. Logan picked out a fire truck for Bryce. Bryce sent Logan. Home with his old fire truck. Thanks to all that helped make Bryce's birthday so special!!!

Super

A week of super. Super grandparents that helped us transition from summer to fall. A super aunt, uncle and cousins that helped celebrate turning 4. Super good friends that came over to celebrate dad's birthday. Then a visit to see real super heroes. And a 4 hour nap to recharge those super powers.

Here we go again!

Back to work. And new work. It's like going to Vegas, you get nervous, don't know if you are going to hit the jackpot or double whammy. Bryce took a bunch of pictures on one of our recent west side trips (like 100). When scrolling through, there is 10 of Quin laughing. Quin loves Bryce, when he isn't pushing him over. Bryce loves Quin, when he is sleeping.

Sometimes it feels like I am going to go crazy just trying to keep the house clean. And it is not even clean. Or putting my friend to bed 20 times. Then he walks out with two teddy bears under his arms. Love them.

3 hour vacation

I have a rule, if in the afternoon I can get both kids to sleep, then I sleep too. Technically I can get all the laundry and housecleaning done while the kids are awake. Or when one is awake. The one thing I can't do while they are awake - is sleep. So in the spirit of getting in shape I hired one of Bryce's former teachers for a few hours three days a week. And guess what? I didn't need a nap.

Referee

I set up my chair. I told Bryce and Quin this is my chillaxing chair. After 5 minutes in it- I renamed it the referee chair. 2nd pic is my view from said chair.

Clean

According to Bryce, he is not afraid of twisters. If there was a twister, he, Tommy and Super Dog, would fight it. Good thing he's not afraid because most of the time our house looks like a twister went through it. So I kept the kids in day care as I left one team and joined another (Monday and Tuesday) and tried to get things cleaned and organized (Wednesday-Friday). This will last about 15 minutes once everyone gets home. I am going to enjoy the next 30 minutes before that happens.

10k

Quin after a 5 am wake up to go watch me run a 10k in Moses Lake. We barely made the 7:30 am registering time. The race started and finished was at a fully accessible playground where Damon recruited an older girl to play with Bryce. When I finished, we went to a car show and waited for the water park to open at 11. All in the same parking lot. After an hour and a half at the water park we left town with two sleeping monsters in the backseat. Nice event Moses Lake. We will be back and hopefully faster next year.

Poop

This picture pretty much sums up my life right now, and no I do not want to see what is in the trash can right now. That can wait until our other friend (Damon) gets home on Thursday.

Lots of love

Having a 3 year old is a challenge. I don't think there is a way to like 4:30 am to 7:30 am. Maybe that should be my resolution. But Christmas with a 3 year old is magical. They believe everything you say. Elf talks to Santa, toppenish junk yard is the north pole, ect. We are so fortunate in every way to have health, family, friends and love. May your basket be full!
