Not allowed

I am not allowed to pretend like the whale is eating cars, any toys, or my fingers. (stop, if he eats you then I will be alone and not have anyone to play with). Bryce, if that fake toy whale eats me you'll have a lot worse problems than a missing playmate. I snuck this picture when he wasn't looking and I can't figure out why I get so much pleasure from pretending the whale is gobbling up all the toys or my fingers or my toes. Really I only do it when Bryce isn't around.

Bryce got to binge on the fair. He is exactly 36 inches so we dropped 9$ for him to go on two car rides and one train ride. Yes I checked all of the seat belts myself. He spent about an hour in a big trough filled with corn. He fed goats and fondled baby pig tails. He sat in a boat and pretended to fish for a little longer than forever. Oh reptiles, turtles, tigers. The over stimulation hit us all and we made a break for it. The fair is 3 year old perfection.

Bed

I love bed time for so many reasons. One is that I may get a couple of hours (2 exactly) of uninterrupted sleep. Quin falls asleep while we read a long book. Bryce needs like a gazillion books read to him. But it is the only time of day I feel like a parent and not a servant. We met some friends at burger king tonight - what has my life come to? Bryce "is burger king a lake". Me "no". Bryce "will we see a king or a burger". Me "not sure, I guess we'll find out". So bryce that was burger king. Hope it exceeded your expectations. My favorite part was when you climbed in the high chair and your little friend pushed you around (who puts wheels on a high chair in a play room) until it fell over.

Soccer drop out

This kid is cute, but you know what is really cute? This 3 year old that keeps showing up in my bed when I am too passed out to know it. And that whole soccer thing, we're not ready for that. We are lucky if we all get showers a couple of times a week.

Happy Birthday B

You are one special 3 year old. You always want to do anything suggested. Most days you say it was a good day. You love to hike and be in the fresh air! You love to learn and play. And planes, trains, and automobiles. You can't get enough. You are so loved! You are an amazing big brother, son and friend. We will work on putting our head through the net at soccer practice.

Soccer star

I don't have any pictures from Bryce's first soccer experience. I was too busy trying to keep a bit older than toddlers on task. Don't even mind my little soccer star he is spotting airplanes and not even close to lining up for drills. When asked who was going to preK by one of the dads, Bryce reports, i get to go preschool when i poop in the potty. Our itty bitty soccer coach didn't show, but one of the dad's stepped up. Another dad and I helped until I was called away to feed Quin, who just had his four month shots. Good thing soccer is across the street and grandparents were here to help. Hopefully next practice will run more smoothly (i have been googling soccer drills for 3 year olds) and only one kiddo will pee their pants. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. Thanks again Bryce for providing much needed amusement you are a sport.
